1987 – The Beginning

Translink Express Logistics was founded as a family-run parcel delivery business in Wigston, Leicestershire, starting with one vehicle and one goal: to provide reliable, personal, and efficient transport services.

1989 – A New Home in Narborough

The company relocated to Narborough, establishing a permanent base that would become the heart of its growing operations.

1990s – Building Momentum

Throughout the 1990s, Translink steadily expanded its fleet and customer base, earning a reputation for dependable service and a hands-on approach that set it apart from larger carriers.

2004 – Joining the Pallet Track Network as a Founder Member

Translink became a proud member of the Pallet Track distribution network, enabling the company to offer enhanced next-day pallet delivery services across the UK while maintaining local accountability.

2009 – Expansion on Mortimer Road

The business moved into a purpose-built site on Mortimer Road, Narborough. This move marked a major investment in facilities and infrastructure, positioning Translink for large-scale logistics and warehousing.

2010s – Growing Capabilities

Over the next decade, Translink expanded its site to over 66,000 sq ft by acquiring adjacent buildings and investing in state-of-the-art warehousing technology.
The company diversified its services — from express parcel delivery to full-load, groupage, warehousing, and international logistics solutions.

2020 – Strength in Family and Team

By 2020, three generations of the founding family were actively involved in the business, supported by a dedicated team with over 350 years of combined logistics experience.

2024 – Commitment to Quality and Safety

Translink achieved FORS Bronze accreditation, recognising its dedication to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility across its fleet operations.

2025 – A Record Year

Translink secured a landmark £5 million, five-year contract with Ramon Hygiene Products — the largest in company history — demonstrating its capability to deliver end-to-end logistics for major national clients.

Today & Beyond

Still proudly independent, Translink Express Logistics continues to grow from its Leicestershire base, combining the flexibility of a family business with the power of a national logistics network.
